The National Constitution Day was enthusiastically observed at the premises of the Tezpur Law College on Monday. The program started with active participations of the students organizing a rally, portraying the various social issues to spread some awareness about one’s rights and also urged to stop violence to the masses. Some students, acting as a replica of Justice Lady, Gandhiji & Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar were also seen to be participating in it.
Following the rally, the program continued indoors at the Moot Court Hall of the College where reputed delegates were invited, who shared their wisdom and highly benefitted the students.
The Indoor sessions started with a melodious chorus performed by the students of the Law College. The Principal of the College, Dr. Bhuban Ch. Barooah then delivered the welcome speech and invited the dignitaries to their respective seats.
Among the Dignitaries were the Chief Guest, Mr. Nilayananda Dutta, Senior Advocate & Hon’ble Advocate General of Arunachal Pradesh & Hon’ble Chairman Bar Council of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh etc. who mainly spoke about the logical issues of law as it is and how it is actually implemented on present context.
Dr. Suresh Kr. Nath, Registrar of the Gauhati University took over the mic after Mr. Dutta and gave many valuable advices to the students for their proper upbringing. In between, Miss Kasturi Das, a student of the college mesmerized the ambience with her wonderful dance performance and the program successfully concluded with the chanting of the National Anthem.
