Hosny Mudassar, a young lad from Tezpur was brutally murdered in the night’s darkness on 18th March 2019 at Kolibari area in Tezpur near Puroni Baan Theatre. Highly shocked with such an incident, the entire town rose up to stand firm and demand justice for the innocent soul.
Tezpur Foodie, a social group along with his friends, family and classmates organised a Candle Light March & a Silent protest on Saturday evening. This march was solely organised seeking prayers for Hosny’s departed soul and by keeping in mind our democratic rights.
Seeing such a mass to gather at the condolence point at the Parking place, Tezpur, it made us realize that the spirit of brotherhood still lies within us and standing beside our people has always been our priority. The people participating in the protest march were seen to tie black cloth on mouth, wearing black clothes and holding humble banners in hand.
“Please refrain yourself from slogans, cursing or any other undemocratic / unlawful activities as we strongly feel we should do it in the spirit of Hosny, just like the person he was“, says one of the protestor. Being a responsible citizen, it is our duty to strongly protest again any unlawful act. Everyone over the town is waiting for prompt action and detailed investigation from the police.
Extending all our prayers for the departed soul.
