There’s obviously no point to discuss about the essence of nursing in the Universe. They preserve the concept of unity in the world of diversity. They are true saviors and real nation builders.
To bring into notice, a Sontipur woman has set an exhilarating example of inspiration and motivation. Smt. Malati Saikia hailing from a small village called Mowamari in Sonitpur District has achieved the highest International distinction on nursing.
On 12th May 2018, International Nurses Day, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized an event at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, where the hon’ble President has presented the National Florence Nightingale Award to 35 nurses from across the country for their immense courage and devotion towards wounded victims. Mrs Saikia was one among the 35 nurses who were felicitated with the prestigious award.
Despite various obstacles, she was determined to provide comprehensive primary care to remote villagers of Tribal Assam. She has demonstrated massive dedication over the last two decades of her service and has also kept her herself updated by attending several State and National level training programmes, Mrs. Saikia said while in a conversation with team Tezpur Buzz.
It feels gratifying, the way on how the nation recognize their excellences with pride and respect. These acts of gratitude are a boon to the nation and would also boost the quality of nursing across the globe.
