We all wish for a country, where our children are given the highest priviledges. While we just crib and complain around, Ashish Sharma,
hailing from Delhi, has took over the responsibility of building a country of our dream. This young man has set an aim to cover 17000 km by foot, under his Unmukt India Campaign. A Mechanical Engineer by profession, he has quit his prestigious job to fight against all odds to remove child beggars from the country.
When after 71 years of our Independence, our children are deprived of education, Ashish Sharma pledges to remove all such barriers and make every child literate. Starting his journey from Udhampur in Jammu on 22nd August, 2017, he has walked 8600 km covering a total of 15 states so far, to highlight the plight of child beggars. Under his own organisation- Duayen Foundation and with the help of 34 IAS officers, Mr Ashish is creating all possible means to send every child to school.
Tezpur was honoured to have this legend for a period of 5 days. He visited every schools & colleges of the town to spread the message and made the students pledge to stand against child begging. He was greatly supported by Team The Uncivilised Indian, Bonds and Memoirs & Tezpur Buzz during his visit and a number of youths were seen walking beside him on the streets of Tezpur.
He requested every people (from a rickshawala to a roadside shopkeeper to higher administrations of the District) and over the area to stop giving alms to child beggars and report immediately on any case of child labour seen.

Ashish plans to hold a nationwide event, on June 14, 2018, to unite crores of voices pledging for the cause and to propagate the benefits of education. We wish all luck and success to this great personality and hope India becomes a country free of beggars in near future.
