Born as Narendranath Datta, also known as Naren, Swami Vivekananda, is undoubtedly, the greatest source of achievement, pride and inspiration for all. He is one of the most influential people of modern India and Hinduism. The world celebrated the 156th Birthday of Swamiji on Saturday, which is also observed as the National Youth Day in India.
Tezpur too, observed the day of this great monk and had a list of programs to pay homage to Swamiji. A ‘Prabhat Feri‘ was taken out from Ramkrishna Mission, Tezpur, where nearly 200 people were seen to participate. The children as well as adults carried posters, with Swamiji’s slogans and messages written.
Another rally was taken out from durgabari, Tezpur. At the Rubber Bagan tiniali, an arrangement for ‘Mailo Daan‘ and a peaceful assembly was made.
Swamiji shall reside in the hearts of youth as long as the world remains. Rabindranath Tagore suggested “If you want to know India, study Vivekananda. In him everything is positive and nothing negative.” Bose called Vivekananda a “full-blooded masculine personality – and a fighter to the core of being”.
