Himani Shivpuri’s ‘Apne Paraye’ and Pranjal Saikia’s ‘Eserenga Rod’ staged on 3rd Day of Kartik Hazarika National Theatre Festival 2019.

Tezpur witnessed two of the biggest plays on stage, on the third day of the Kartik Hazarika National Theatre Festival 2019.

The evening started at 4.30 with the famous Pranjal Saikia’s directed play, “Eserenga Rod” at the District library, Tezpur. The play was presented by the Sanskritic Mancha, Assam and is based on a Spanish play ‘The Sunny Morning’. It was pure delight to watch Pranjal Saikia and Purnima Saikia Pathak on stage.

The second play, “Apne Paraye” started at 6.30 in the Nehru Maidan. Staged by the group ‘Theatre Wala‘ of Mumbai, it was comprised of two stories- Hari Prakash’s ‘Wapasi’ and Manu Bhandari’s ‘Akeli’. They play was directed by the famous Television and Theatre artists, Himani Shivpuri and Ram Ji Bali.

It is really a treat for everyone to watch such masterpieces on stage.
