Aditya Dhar’s film ‘URI- The Surgical Strike’ , that got released on 11th January, 2019, incorporates the events based on the surgical strikes conducted in 2016 by the Indian Army, against the military launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
URI throws light on the never ending sacrifices of our Indian Army and the thankless job they do with passion in their hearts and fire in their bellies. Along with the release of such a great movie, to our utmost pride and happiness, this movie had a young boy from Guwahati, Devraj Ghosh, who made his debut in feature films and played the role as one of the 15 commandos, under the leadership of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill. (Vicky Kaushal)
Devraj was born and brought up in Itanagar due to his father’s job, who later moved to Guwahati. He completed his primary and secondary education from Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh and set off for Banglore to pursue his Engineering. Working for an MNC for almost 2 years, Devraj realized his love for modelling and decided to quit his job to transform his dreams to reality. He moved from Banglore to Mumbai in 2016 and completed his acting course from Anupam Kher’s ‘Actor Prepares’- The School for Actors.
While talking to Tezpur Buzz, Devraj said “I am a big believer of- If you believe in something, the whole universe conspires to help you in making the thing happen” Devraj strongly held that nothing can be achieved without dreaming. “Dream big. Go for it if you want to make it happen. Untill you experience the struggling days of your life, you cannot appreciate the results”- says the actor.
Devraj is currently working on a web series and has a short film project in hand. He dreams to work in as many projects as he can and wishes to work with specific people of the industry, whom he admires a lot.
We extend all our love and wishes to Devraj for his upcoming endeavors
